MEET YOUR TEACHERS

Anna Douglas- (Training Lead)

Born in Portland but a Seattle local, Anna grew up in an urban landscape and craved wellness from the start. The way Anna teaches is the way she tries to live her life--with fire and heart, trusting that the idea of living deliberately will support growth, create opportunities and minimize the chances of regret. Take Care Yoga is a space that was founded by Anna with the goal of creating a beautiful space for people to be completely themselves in. A space free of ego and expectation, focused entirely on progress over perfection. As diverse as it is authentic, Anna has trained a plethora of the instructors at Take Care herself and is passionate about continuing to support each student and teacher who comes through her doors. With a degree in Creative Wellness and Holistic Health from Western Washington University, Anna was originally certified in Hatha by Bob Smith and Ki McGraw in Indonesia in 2012. Since then Anna has completed multiple 200HR programs within the Seattle area and is 300HR certified via the Yoga Alliance. She has been teaching full time for 12 years as well as leading teacher trainings and international retreats throughout her time as a teacher.

Jennifer Isaacson- (Anatomy/Physiology/Yin)

Jennifer was introduced to yoga in college and has been practicing since 1997. Decades of experience are woven into her inspired approach.  You’ll have clear purpose and direction with space for exploration.  Expect good music, philosophy and moving fluidly to destinations you don’t anticipate. Jennifer has devoted her life to studying and teaching yoga. Kim King opened up her home and taught Jennifer and 8 other dedicated students how to teach yoga in 2002.  Additionally, her primary teachers are Shiva Rea, Kathleen Hunt , Andrey Lappa, Bernie Clark, and Tiffany Cruikshank.  As a lifelong student, you can feel her commitment and curiosity in every class.

After living out of a suitcase for 7 years, Jennifer lives and teaches in Seattle, WA where she and her mother, father and all her grandparents were raised.

Linnea Jensen- (Methodologies/Sequencing)

Linnea is a yoga teacher, facilitator and leadership coach who works to support people to step into their power and purpose. Her warm approach is trauma informed and blends her thirteen years of teaching yoga and meditation. She sees yoga as a healing practice, and coaching as a way to connect the dots on real life goals to live more fully expressed. She is humbled to have led 200 hour teacher training programs, coaching training programs, retreats, mentorships and group coaching cohorts. Outside of teaching, she works in private practice where she blends her yoga teaching tools with coaching and has supported clients individually, in groups and in a clinical setting supporting psychedelic assisted trauma therapy.

Julie Buchsbaum- (Sequencing/Assists/Inversions)

Julie began her yoga journey in 2011 as a supplement to a variety of other fitness endeavors before recognizing the value of diving deep into the practice itself. A lover of complex yoga asana, she is constantly challenging herself and her students to ask "what's next?" in addition to getting curious about the personal exploration that arises in the face of that challenge and growth potential. Creative sequencing, hands-on assists, and personalized attention feature heavily in her teaching style, which aids in creating physically and emotionally safe spaces for exploration. Julie completed her 200-hour training in February 2017 at Yoga District in Washington, DC and has since supplemented it with a 100-hour Rocket certification and 50-hour Awakening Yoga Advanced Asana training.
